A request to employ martial law for the purpose of clearing the atmosphere in the University of Bucharest by expelling the leaders of the anti-Semitic bands among the students was made by the senate of the Bucharest University yesterday.
The senate previously decided to expel seven students who were responsible for the activities of anti-Semitic organizations.
How far the anti-Semitic element is gaining control of the situation is evident from the fact that the National Protection League, the leading anti-Semitic organization in the country, established its offices opposite the King’s palace. Every evening an electric sign of the Swastika is displayed. During the day the headquarters of the League is the center of anti-Semitic activities.
