Imre Nidossy Szalasi, former commandant in Budapest during the pro-Nazi regime, who was responsible for the death of thousands of Hungarian Jew during the war, was arrested today in a provincial town. Szalasi issued the deportation orders which sent thousands of Jews in Hungary to their death in the Nazi extermination camps in Poland.
