The evacuation of part of the Jewish cemetery at Ujpest has been announced by the municipality of Budapest, it was reported here today. It was “explained” that the city needs the southern corner of the cemetery to build a new street. The report said that the announcement warned that unless relatives of those buried there came forward before April 5, the remains would be removed for reburial in a mass grave in another cemetery.
