The congregation of the Central Synagogue this week-end celebrated its 90th anniversary at services presided over by Chief Rabbis M. Herskovits and Jozsef Katona.
Immediately after the services on exhibition of synagogue art was formally opened to the public. One section of the exhibit is devoted to letters and other literary efforts of Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, and Max Nordau, Dr. Herzl’s colleague.
