A budget of $1,096,000 for the activities of B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations in 1951 was adopted here by the National Hillel Commission.
Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld, director of the Hillel Foundations, reported at the meeting that applications for Hillel Services from 20 universities and colleges are being considered, but that lack of funds had kept the program from expending to meet the demand. The Commission voted to continue the Hillel Foreign Student Service, under which 37 foreign students are maintained in American universities.
