Police Chief Filomeno Velazco was urged yesterday by the DAIA, central Argentine Jewish body, to take energetic measures to curb the growing number of anti-Semitic incidents in the city.
In a memorandum submitted to Sr. Velazco, the DAIA cited recent attacks on two synagogues, a Jewish school and private homes and the appearance of anti-Semitic slogans in public places. It said that in only two cases have the persons responsible for anti-Jewish incidents been apprehended.
