Building operations in the vicinity of the Wailing Wall by the Moslem religious authorities are revealed by Davar, labor daily, which states that it is apparently the intention of the Waqf’s administration, Moslem Square Council, to establish a playground for Moslem children bordering on the Wailing Wall enclosure, and with gates leading out there. Jewish circles are said to be genuinely perturbed over this development, and the paper calls the attention of the Palestine government to the new playground. It is felt that the existence of a Moslem playground near the Wailing Wall may lead to interruptions of Jewish services during festivals and other occasions, and that these may cause strife between the Moslem neighbors and Jewish worshippers.
