The Bulgarian government has awarded a Jewish woman physician its highest order of achievement in medicine and social welfare, and has given a Jewish violinist a gold medal for the arts, according to reports received here today.
Dr. Stella Ostrukova, one of Bulgaria’s foremost experts on child welfare and a prominent pediatrician, was honored for her contributions to Bulgarian public health. The violinist, Chabetai Saurenion, received the medal on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
