The Bulgarian Government has issued a decree authorizing payment to Jews of rent collected on property confiscated from them by the former pro-German regime, the Sofia radio announced today.
The Directorate of State Properties, to which much of the Jewish property was assigned, has been instructed to submit to the owners detailed lists of rents collected by it. Regional agricultural offices have been ordered to issue certificates showing the rents owed by the state for use of seized Jewish property.
