Bulgarian Jews have been barred from the mining industry, in line with the Bulgarian government’s drive to oust Jews from the economic life of the country, it is reported in the Sofia newspaper, Zora, reaching here today.
Under a new decree “persons of Jewish origin” must transfer, within three months, any mining properties they hold to Bulgarians or to companies which have “predominantly Bulgarian capital,” the Sofia paper writes.
