Information regarding the anti-Jewish excesses reported by the Paris daily, “Le Journal” to have occurred in Philippopolis, will be asked of the Bulgarian government by the Minister of that government in Washington.
Upon inquiry of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, S. Radoff, Bulgarian Minister in Washington, has cabled his government for information.
The report of the Paris newspaper stated that Members of the Association for the Defense of the Fatherland attacked the Jewish quarter in the southern Bulgarian city. The attacks were reported to have occurred early last week.
