High Government officials today paid a visit to the Palestine pavilion at the International Fair at Plovdiv where they were greeted by Otto Mandel, in behalf of the Jewish Agency, and other Palestinian representatives at the exposition. The delegation included Vassil Koralov, president of the Bulgarian Parliament.
After inspecting the exhibitions depicting the colonization of the country and the development of Tel Aviv, Koralov expressed the hope that the city would continue to grow and extended warmest greetings to the Jewish community in Palestine.
The delegates spent a great deal of time in the pavilion and showed great interest in the achievements of the Jewish community. The necessity for developing stronger economic relations between Palestine and Bulgaria was stressed by the visitors. Later, at a banquet in honor of the Bulgarians, the officials toasted the “prosperous future of the Jewish people.”
