Premier Ivan Bagrianov of Bulgaria, speaking today before the Bulgarian parliament, openly condemned the anti-Jewish persecutions instituted by Bogdan Filov, the former premier.

The address of Premier Bagrianov was preceded by a government order relaxing the anti-Jewish laws and abolishing the ghettos introduced for Jews who had been deported from Sofia and other Bulgarian cities to isolated villages. The deported Jews can now return to their homes and resume residence wherever they wish.

Newspapers reaching here today from Budapest report that the local Hungarian authorities in the city of Cluj, capital of Transylvania, confiscated the Jewish hospital of the town. The dwellings of sixty Jewish doctors in Cluj have been turned over to young Hungarian doctors, the report adds.
