Anti-Jewish riots were renewed here tonight after a mob assembled outside a hospital demanded delivery of the body of Stefan Baran, railway porter shot by a Jewish butcher, and was informed by police that Baran had already been buried.

Police with difficulty prevented the mob from attacking the hospital, and after it was dispersed the disturbances began again throughout the city, Jewish houses were attacked and windows were broken.

After three hours of clashes between police and a mob of thousands of persons the situation became calmer. Rioters attacked police, crying: “Down with the slaves of the Jews!”
