cities of the country. There is even a brisk newsstand sale of the Jewish Daily Bulletin in such far flung cities as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and in several Canadian cities.

GREETINGS POUR IN

That the newspaper that made so modest an entry into the publishing world has found a permanent niche in the scheme of modern Jewish life is evidenced from the hundreds of enthusiastic greetings that have been received by the publishers on the occasion of the anniversary celebration. These greetings, many of which had to be left out for lack of space, are to be found in the anniversary section in today’s edition.

The signers of the messages represent a brilliant cross-section of Jewish and non-Jewish life throughout the world. Congratulations came from President Roosevelt, Governor Lehman, Governor Horner of Illinois, Mayor La-Guardia, Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Morris Rothenberg and scores of other notables.

In the anniversary section of the paper various aspects of the decade which has offered grist to the newspaper’s mill are treated at length by special writers.

Page one of “Vol. 1, No. 1” of the Bulletin is reproduced in exact size on the first page of the anniversary section. On it may be seen a story from Budapest, two stories from Kovno, or Kaunas, Lithuania, as it is now called, a local story, one from Jerusalem and one from Vienna.

The Vienna story is concerned with one Adolf Hitler. It told of an order by the Austrian government calling for Hitler’s arrest if he crossed the border into his native country. The Nazi leader at the time was in a Bavarian jail following his unsuccessful “beer putsch.”
