Two rioters were killed and eight others wounded by police fire today in the village of Zurawno near Zydaczow, East Galicia, during anti-Semitic disorders in which a peasant mob injured several Jews.
The peasants began pillaging Jewish shops and beating up Jews after incitement by agitators. After one of their number had been arrested, they stabbed a policemen and released the prisoner, whereupon the police were forced to fire on them. Fifty peasants were arrested.
Of the several Jews injured, one was in serious condition tonight.
