Two thousand members of the Hebrew Butcher Workers Union will go on strike Monday morning if their contract with butcher shop owners, which expires midnight Saturday, is not renewed by Sunday morning, according to Joseph Belsky, secretary of the union.
A meeting between representatives of the union and of the shop owners is scheduled for ten o’clock this morning at the union’s office. A decision on renewal is expected from the butchers at that time.
