Otto Strasser, whose brother, Gregor Strasser, was shot in Chancellor Hitler’s week-end “housecleaning,” disclosed tonight that Gregor received a letter from Hitler ten days ago in which the Chancellor offered him the positions held by Hermann Wilhelm Goering, Premier of Prussia and Minister of Aviation.
Otto Strasser said Goering had Hitler’s telephone wires tapped and had succeeded in thwarting the Chancellor’s plan to eliminate Goering in favor of Gregor Strasser, who was one of the original Nazi leaders.
