Rumors regarding the inclusion of Mayor David Croll of Windsor, in the new Hepburn cabinet in Ontario are without foundation, it is declared in highly informed circles of the Liberal Party. Premier elect Mitchell F. Hepburn unofficially declared he did not at any time promise the member-elect of Windsor a place in his cabinet.
Large Jewish deputations are still waiting on the Premier-elect to influence his decision. A special delegation of Jews and non-Jews and prominent members of the Liberal Party in the Western part of the province waited upon him on his last visit to Toronto, asking for Mayor Croll’s inclusion.
The Premier evaded a direct answer. He said he would consider the request.
