California’s state treasurer has joined a call on financial institutions to waive wire fees for money transferred to Holocaust survivors and families. Phil Angelides on Wednesday joined with Bet Tzedek Legal Services to stop more than 170 of California’s largest banks, credit unions, savings and loan associations and broker/dealers from charging fees on compensation and restitution transfers.
