California’s Supreme Court ruled that heirs of Holocaust victims may proceed with a lawsuit seeking $135 million in damages from a top Italian insurer. The high court last week refused to hear the argument of insurer Assicurazioni Generali, which sought to overturn a lower court order that said California state courts have jurisdiction to resolve Holocaust-era insurance claims.
