A world congress of Jewish societies for the observance of the Sabbath was convened for December in Berlin.
The call was issued by the Central Committee of the World Federation of Sabbath Observers, Schomrei Schabos, an organization recently formed.
The appeal requests the rabbis to draw the attention of their congregations during the coming High Holidays to the importance of the international congress which will seek measures to safeguard Sabbath observance by Jews.
