Canada Asked to Extradite Ukrainian Leader of Gang Which Killed Jews

The Canadian Government was again asked by the Soviet Government to extradite an Ukrainian leader of a gang that participated with the Nazi occupation forces in the mass-murder of Jews in the district of Lemberg, in the Polish part of Galicia, it was reported here today. The name of the Ukrainian war criminal who now resides in Canada is Kupiak. Evidence of his murderous activities has been submitted to the Canadian authorities, the report said.

Another report from the Soviet Union disclosed that the USSR discovered recently that a Nazi concentration camp had been located in the Baltic area, near Ivangored, where Latvian and Lithuanian Jews were imprisoned. The USSR has discovered that the Nazis liquidated the camp in 1943, when its capture was threatened by the Red Army, killing all the inmates.
