Canada committed a “grave error” by supporting a U.N. Security Council resolution that obliquely blames Israel for using “excessive force” against the Palestinians, said the leader of the Canadian Alliance, the official opposition party of the Canadian Parliament. The resolution, which passed Saturday with the approval of Canada and 13 other Security Council members, “is clearly slanted with an anti-Israel bias,” Stockwell Day said.
