External Affairs Minister Allan MacEachen said that Canada might, as a result of the UN vote, withdraw its support from a 1977 anti-racist congress in Vienna and the UN sponsored “Decade against Racism.” He added, however, that Canada will not consider reducing foreign aid efforts. Canada voted against the anti-Zionist resolution.
