The Canadian Government has granted the Canadian Jewish Congress permission to bring an additional 210 Jewish war orphans from Europe, it was learned here today. This is an extension of an order-in-council for the admission of 1,000 war orphans issued last May.

That order-in-council was , in itself, an extension of a 1942 order which envisaged the immigration of 500 Jewish war orphans from France to Canada. The movement of war orphans to Canada which began a year ago has proceeded so satisfactorily under the supervision of the Canadian Jewish Congress and with the assistance of all the community institutions in Canada that the Congress was encouraged to ask for an extension.
