The sum of $150,000 was raised in Canada for the United Appeal campaign, it was announced by A. J. Freiman, president of the Zionist Organization of Canada, and chairman of the Canadian United Appeal, at the fourth annual convention of the Ontario Zionist Region here.
Miss Lilian Freeman Obe, president of the Canadian Hadassah; E. F. Singer, member of the provincial legislature, and others, addressed the convention delegates.
A resolution was passed protesting against the Palestine planters discriminating against Jewish labor. H. S. Rosenberg was reelected president of the Ontario Zionist Region. A budget of $50,000 was accepted by the convention.
