The volume of Canadian exports to Israel is increasing steadily, it was learned here today. The latest shipment of some $700,000 worth of Canadian goods left for Israel within the past few days, bringing the total to date to $1,750,000.
Thus far major items of export included: lumber, textiles, canned foods, milk, salmon, dried and canned apples, grains, farm equipment and medical supplies. In addition some 100,000 pounds of food, clothing and medical supplies donated for Israel were also shipped on the latest transport. To date the Canadian Aid to Israel Committee has shipped 300,000 pounds of assorted food and clothing and $500,000 worth of medical supplies.
