How Canada, after allowing native and foreign fifth column elements complete libery of action like many democracies in Europe, finally recognized them as subversive organizations threatening the security of the nation, is described by Albert Miller in an article, “Canada’s Fifth Column,” appearing in the Julu – August issue of Contemporary Jewish Record, published by the American Jewish Committee.

An analysis of recent shifts in totalitarian propaganda technique in the United States is made by Nathanial Goodrich, in an article entitled “Nazi Interference in American Affairs.” The activities and technique of native as well as frankly foreign agents are analyzed by Goodrich, who states that their chief aim is to cause internal confusion on leading national and international issues, thus paving the way for Hitler’s accomplishment of his boast that America can be destroyed “from within” without an armed struggle.
