An appeal to the Canadian Government to take immediate action to curb anti-Semitism in the country was made in the Federal Parliament by Col. David Croll, a Jewish deputy.
Emphasizing that anti-Semitism is on the increase in Canada, Col, Croll cited the case of a Jewish war veteran in Toronto, Joseph Moses, who lost his job because his employer asserted that customers objected to being served by a Jew. The dismissal of the Jewish veteran evoked strong protests from a number of veterans organizations throughout the country.
