During the six months which ended September 30, Canada admitted 5,033 immigrants, an increase of 15.1 per cent over the 4,374 immigrants who entered the Dominion in the corresponding period of 1942, it was disclosed here.
Among the immigrants were a small number of Jewish refugees, according to the report, which was issued by the Department of Commerce.
