William Epstein, a Canadian Jew employed by the United Nations in a top post in the Secretariat, will be Deputy UN Representative at the 10-nation Committee on General and Complete Disarmament which will convene March 15 at UN headquarters in Geneva, it was officially announced here today by Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold.
Mr. Hammarskjold said that Mr. Epstein will be the deputy to Undersecretary Dragoslav Protitch, who will head the UN representation at the Geneva sessions. Mr. Epstein is chief of the Secretariat’s section on Conventional Armaments and Enforcement Measures.
