The sixth plenary session of the Canadian Jewish Congress will open here tomorrow night with delegates from all sections of the Dominion in attendance. It will continue through Tuesday. The opening session will be devoted to a memorial service for the martyred Jews of Europe.
In addition to the “Jew in the Canadian Scene,” which is the central theme of the conference, the delegates will discuss the reconstruction of devastated European Jewry, religious, cultural, educational, youth and public relations problems. Speakers will include A. G. Brotman of the Board of Deputies of British Jews; Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, Dr. Nahum Goldmann, Moses Leavitt of the Joint Distribution Committee and others.
