The eighth plenary session of the Canadian Jewish Congress will open here this week-end with the problem of Jewish education in this country looming high on the agenda, it was revealed today. Samuel Bronfman, president of the Congress, will stress the problems of education in the Jewish community here in his presidential report.
It is believed that a resolution calling on the Congress to set up educational committees in all larger communities and grant larger financial subsidies to existing educational institutions will be introduced at the meeting. Dr. Israel Chipkin, leading American Jewish educator, will be the guest speaker at the opening session.
