The subject was discussed at a conference of the Dominion Council of the Canadian Jewish Congress and has been receiving constant attention. The Jewish Congress has warned the Jews here against irresponsible steps by men and groups “seeking to exploit community interest in this subject for their own ends.” It says that the matter will continue to receive the utmost attention and reveals that consultations “with learned counsel” are in progress with regard to the proposal.
