Moe Herscovitch, former Canadian Olympic boxing star, has been compelled to have one eye removed as a result of injuries suffered during an attack by anti-Semitic hoodlums on a group of Jews in the summer resort of nearby Plage Laval on July 25, it was learned today.
Meanwhile, police authorities are again seeking Rene Bolduc, son of the police chief at Plage Laval and ringleader of the riots. Bolduc was acquitted last month of responsibility for the anti-Jewish disturbances, although a constable testified that he heard him urge a group of youths to attack the Jews. He is being sought at present in connection with another disturbance.
