Canadian Jews Will Thrash out Problems

The Canadian Jewish Congress will open in Toronto Sunday afternoon, January 28, according to a decision of the congress executive at a meeting presided over by S. W. Jacobs, president of the congress.

The congress was to have opened January 27. The change in date was made to save expenses and to accommodate a number of delegates.

The meetings will continue for two days. Monday evening, January 29, there will be a massmeeting in connection with the congress.

Among the topics of addresses scheduled are the following: A review of the political and economic situation of world Jewry problems of Jewish reconstruction in Canada; problems of Jewish culture in Canada; anti-Semitism in Canada, and relief for German Jews.

Representatives of national organizations will also be invited to attend the congress, and the American Jewish Congress and the American Jewish Committee will be invited to send fraternal delegate. The executive committee decided to continue its campaign for ten thousand dollars for covering the expenses of the congress.
