Canadian officials refused to allow an animal rights group to open a photo exhibit in Toronto that uses images of Holocaust victims. Because the “Holocaust on Your Plate” exhibition organized by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals uses photographic images from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in violation of the museum’s Photograph Use Agreement, the Canadian Jewish Congress persuaded city and regional officials to refuse PETA a display permit.
