Four Israeli students have arrived here to take up residence in two Canadian colleges as recipients of four-year scholarships which will provide tuition, board and room, and monthly allowances.

The scholarships were established by John Basset, chairman and publisher of the Toronto Telegram, for “promotion of understanding and closer relations between Canada and Israel.” One Israeli boy and a girl will attend Bishop’s University, at Lennoxville, Quebec; another boy and girl are enrolled at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, N. B.
