More than 700 delegates from all parts of Canada will participate in a four-day national convention of the Zionist Organization of Canada which opens here tomorrow to discuss various aspects of the Zionist movement and new methods of raising funds for Israel.
The convention will also deal with plans for broadening the participation of Canadian Jews in private enterprise, and with accelerating investment through the purchase of bonds for the State of Israel. Among the highlights of the sessions will be proposals to encourage and assist Canadian Jewish young men and women with technical training and ability to spend a few years in Israel. The enrichment of the cultural life of Canadian Jewry through the existing structure of the Zionist movement will come in for major consideration by the delegates.
