Canadians will now be able to send personal cable messages to relatives in enemy or enemy-occupied countries, as a result of a new service established by the Canadian Red Cross, it was announced here today. Previously there was only a postal message service handled by the Canadian Post Office and the International Red Cross. The Jewish Section of the Canadian Red Cross is handling the service in Montreal.
The Jewish National Labor Alliance in Toronto, a Zionist Laborite fraternal organization, today announced that it will provide two ambulances through the Canadian Red Cross for Palestine and Russia. Both ambulances will be presented next week to Matthew Woll, chairman of the United Nations War Labor Committee, at a special ceremony which will be attended by William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor, and by representatives of the Canadian Government and of the Canadian Red Cross.
