Plans for raising funds to eliminate the $400,000 deficit in the three and a half million dollar budget of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies were announced by Arthur Lehman, president, at a luncheon of the Business Men’s Council of the Federation at the Hotel Pensylvania.
The meeting was called by Percy S. Straus and Felix Warburg, co-chairmen of the Business Men’s Council. All of the various trades will be canvassed for the money.
