Cap Makers Propose Needle Trade Alliance

A second effort is being made by the Cap Makers Union to form a working alliance in the garment industry. The five unions in the needle trade, estimated to number in excess of 300,000 members are the Amalgamated Clothing Workers, the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union, United Cloth Hat and Cap Makers of North America, International Fur Workers’ Union and the Journeymen Tailors’ Union.
