More than half of Washington’s quota of $35,000 for the United Jewish Appeal has been collected, Isador Hershfield, co-chairman, announced.

Mr. Hershfield also made public a letter from Senator William E. Borah of Idaho, urging everyone to assist in the effort to raise funds for the relief of German Jews.
