Captain Edward Joseph Bulfin, whose death was reported from poisoning while the British troops were marching to Safed, was well known in England. He was the son of General Sir Edward Bulfin. He served in France during the World War and later commanded the 21st Army Corps in Palestine and Syria. His death was mourned in London circles.
