Captain Reginald Sassoon, member of the Indian branch of the Sassoon family, originally hailing from Bagdad, noted for its philanthropic enterprises in behalf of Jews and non Jews, succumbed here yesterday to injuries received when he was thrown from a horse in a race at Lingfield.

Captain Sassoon was a famous ride# and was a member of the National Hu# Committee. He lived in India, but came to England every year for the races.
