Augustin Cardinal Bea, head of the Vatican Secretariat for the Promotion of Christian Unity which drafted the original Ecumenical Council statement on Jews, predicted here today that the statement would be ratified by the Council in the near future.
Cardinal Bea, who arrived here yesterday, made the prediction during a discussion with Chief Rabbi Alexander Saffran at a reception given at the Ecumenical Council here.
