Dutch Cardinal Bernard Alfrink, Archbishop of Utrecht, called for an end to “injustice” against Soviet Jews and Palestinians. The Cardinal, in a statement, issued at the closing session of the international Roman Catholic congress “Pax Christi,” called for the end of discrimination and injustice “wherever they be.” He expressly included the Vietnam War and South African apartheid.
