The Swiss newspaper Courier de Geneve today reported that seven Catholic Bishops in the Nazi-puppet state of Slovakia have signed a pastoral letter protesting against punishing Jews “en masse and without previous examination.”
The pastoral letter was read in all Slovak Catholic churches on March 21, the Swiss newspaper states. “We demand that equal civil rights and state protection be accorded to every member of the state without distinction of origin or nationality the Catholic pastoral letter said. The Protestant Bishops issued a similar protest last September.
