The Catholic Bishops of the United States, meeting here, urged the Supreme Court over the week-end to reverse its decision that religious groups may not teach their beliefs in public schools. The Bishops declared that they believed lawyers “will be amazed to find that in the (Vashti) McCollum case, the majority opinion paid scant attention to logic, history or accepted norms of interpretation.”
